Leadership
Mekgwe Mfolo, Pr Tech Eng, MBA
Founder & Managing Executive, Triad Group
Mekgwe Mfolo is an entrepreneur, chemical engineer, engineering business builder and strategic leader with more than 22 years of experience across mineral processing, engineering consulting, project and programme delivery, infrastructure, water resilience and business leadership.
He began his career as a Technical Plant Metallurgist at Anglo Platinum, now Valterra Platinum, where he developed a practical foundation in concentrator performance, plant optimisation and operational problem-solving.
He subsequently spent 16 years at Worley in progressively senior technical, project, portfolio and executive roles, including Lead Process Engineer, Head of Department, Project Manager, Project Portfolio Manager, Executive Director and Business Sector Manager for Mining, Minerals and Metals.
Mekgwe later served as Chief Executive Officer of BT Engineering & Sustainability Consulting before consolidating his engineering, water, mining and enterprise-building interests through Triad Group and Mfolo Enterprise Holdings.
His role within Triad Group focuses on strategy, business development, partnerships, governance and the integration of technical and commercial capability across the operating companies.

Triad Group is an operating platform of Mfolo Enterprise Holdings, a family-owned African investment, advisory and enterprise-building platform.
MEH provides the long-term ownership, governance and enterprise-building context within which Triad Group is developed. Triad remains independently positioned around its engineering, water, mining and logistics mandate.
